Health Guarantee

At Highland Tails Australian Labradoodles, we are committed to ensuring the well-being of our puppies. To provide peace of mind to our buyers, we offer a health guarantee for up to two years from the date of purchase, covering hereditary conditions, under the following terms:

1. Initial Veterinary Check-Up: Each Highland Tails Australian Multigeneration Labradoodle puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale. Buyers are required to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within one week of receiving the puppy (at their own expense). A signed Health Certificate from the veterinarian must be returned to Highland Tails Australian Labradoodles within 7 to 14 days of possession. Failure to provide this certificate will void the health guarantee and release the breeder from all obligations.

2. Non-Transferable Guarantee: This health guarantee is exclusively for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to another owner.

3. Severe Health Conditions: If the puppy is diagnosed with a severe or life-threatening hereditary condition, diagnostic evidence—including X-rays—must be provided to Highland Tails Australian Labradoodles. These findings will be reviewed and confirmed by a veterinarian selected by Highland Tails Australian Labradoodles.

4. Vaccination and Diet Requirements: To uphold the health guarantee, the puppy must be kept up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies, and records of these must be provided if a replacement is requested. The guarantee becomes void if vaccinations, wormings, or other preventive care are neglected. Additionally, the puppy must be fed a high-quality diet to support optimal growth and health. Feeding low-quality commercial food may invalidate the guarantee.

5. Hip Dysplasia Clause: In cases of hip dysplasia (HD), the guarantee will be void if the puppy becomes overweight or has been fed low-quality commercial food that inhibits healthy development.

6. Resolution Options: If all conditions of this agreement are met, and the buyer wishes to return the dog, Highland Tails Australian Labradoodles may provide a replacement puppy from the next available litter or issue a refund of half the purchase price, at their discretion. Alternatively, if the buyer chooses to keep the dog, Highland Tails Australian Labradoodles will cover veterinary costs up to the full purchase price of the puppy. Proof of hip dysplasia (HD) from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) is required for any refund or replacement request.
